Aram Khachatryan Museum Tour

The Aram Khachatryan Museum or Aram Khachaturian House-Museum is a musical museum located on the Zarobyan Street of the city Yerevan in Armenia. The museum was established in 1978 and opened to the public in 1982. The museum is based on the twentieth century’s eminent Armenian musician Aram Khachatryan, and Khachatryan’s ideologies created it.

The museum is full of the personal artifacts of Khachaturian like the piano, personal gifts to the institution, manuscripts, letters, and various memorabilia, etc. His house was transformed to the museum by the architect EdvardAltunyan. There is a concert hall in the house museum where the regular music concerts are arranged, an extensive CD library and a workshop of violin repairing and restoration in the museum. The museum is dedicated to the betterment of music in Armenia, and it publishes a variety of academic books.
